There are times when we convince ourselves that we are happy in love, yet deep down inside a growing uneasiness tells you otherwise. Facing this undeniable truth takes courage, for it forces you follow your hearts desire knowing that there will be hurtful consequences. If one choses to do nothing, then they live a lie accompanied by the shame of their own hurtful behaviour fuelled by denial, cowardice and regret. For peace of mind, love yourself first and always, always surrender to the truth. Take comfort in knowing that you cannot hurt the other anymore than you already have; hope they're not without love each and every day and may time heal both wounded souls.
